Acceptable Use


The goal of Leading Electronics, Inc., Inc. is to provide you the best service possible for an enjoyable Internet experience. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP" or "Policy") is designed to keep Leading Electronics, Inc. and the Internet enjoyable and useful for all of our subscribers. Violation of this Policy may result in suspension or cancellation of Leading Electronics, Inc. services.
Leading Electronics, Inc. supports and is committed to the free flow of information and ideas over the Internet. Leading Electronics, Inc. does not actively monitor nor does Leading Electronics, Inc. exercise editorial control over the content of any web site, electronic mail transmission, mailing list, news group or other material created or accessible over Leading Electronics, Inc. services. However, Leading Electronics, Inc. reserves the right to remove any materials of which Leading Electronics, Inc. does become aware that are, in Leading Electronics, Inc.' sole discretion, potentially illegal, could subject Leading Electronics, Inc. to liability, or violate this Policy.

Policies:


The following are violations of Leading Electronics, Inc. policies:


* Using a personal account for high volume or commercial use. If you would like to provide high-volume or commercial services, please contact Leading Electronics, Inc.' Sales Department for information about opening up a commercial account.
* Using Leading Electronics, Inc. services for illegal purposes, or in support of illegal activities. Leading Electronics, Inc. reserves the right to cooperate with legal authorities and/or injured third parties in the investigation of any suspected crime or civil wrong. Activities which are prohibited as potentially illegal include, but are not limited to:
* Unauthorized copying of copyrighted material including, but not limited to, digitization and distribution of photographs from magazines, books, or other copyrighted sources, and copyrighted software.
* Making fraudulent offers of products, items, or services originating from your account.
* Posting or emailing of scams such as 'pyramid/chain' letters or 'make-money-fast' schemes.
* Exporting software or technical information in violation of U.S. export control laws.
* Threatening bodily harm or property damage to individuals or groups.
* Attempting to access the accounts of others, or attempting to penetrate beyond security measures of any systems (referred to as hacking) whether or not the intrusion results in corruption or loss of data.
* Harassing others by 'mail-bombing' or 'news-bombing'. 'Mail-bombing' constitutes sending more than ten (10) similar mail messages to the same email address. 'News bombing' constitutes sending more than 10Mbytes of data to a newsgroup.
* Revealing your account password to others or allowing use of your account by others (other than authorized users in your household).
* Forging any message header, in part or whole, of any electronic transmission, originating or passing through Leading Electronics, Inc. services.
* Distributing viruses to or from Leading Electronics, Inc. systems.
* Use of software or any device that would allow your account to stay logged on while you are not actively using Leading Electronics, Inc. services.

Leading Electronics, Inc. Assumes No Liability


Leading Electronics, Inc. has no practical ability to restrict all conduct, communications or content which might violate this Policy prior to transmission on Leading Electronics, Inc. Network, nor can Leading Electronics, Inc. ensure prompt removal of any such communications or content after transmission or posting. Accordingly, Leading Electronics, Inc. does not assume liability to subscribers or others for any failure to enforce the terms of this Policy.


Revisions to this Policy


Leading Electronics, Inc. reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without any notice. Modifications to this Policy may be given to subscribers by posting such changes to the Leading Electronics, Inc. Web site (http://www.leading-electronics.com), by electronic mail, or by conventional mail.
